I have written a sequence of blogs describing how amateur photographers can take good quality erotic and boudoir images with relatively modest equipment and without using a dedicated photographic studio.
Indeed, an amateur working with a model known to them can do better than a professional. They have more time with the subject and the subject is probably more relaxed with them than with an unknown professional!
The biggest difference in equipment used between an amateur and most professionals is the use of a studio. Studios have several advantages such as clean backgrounds and lots of kit to hand. But they can be impersonal places.
However, many professional boudoir photographers often work in more natural surroundings. I do! In these blogs I’ll assume that the photographer is working in a domestic environment such as a house or hotel room.
